چکیده

This thesis argues for the need to examine the user experience in video game play using the setting and methods of interactive art. It proposes to investigate the field of game art from a user perspective by situating it at the intersections of art, games and interactive media. It then gives a thorough depiction of the accompanying thesis project MOVE, an installation using computer vision and full body interaction allowing participants to experience a number of gestures and actions usually performed by avatars in video games. 3 ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
